by car

From both west (Chemnitz / Leipzig) and east (Berlin / Görlitz) leave the motorway A4 at exit „Wilder Mann“ and turn towards the city center of Dresden. Follow road “Großenhainer Strasse” into town 2 km (3 minutes) until square “Trachenberger Platz”. Then turn sharp right into Barbara Strasse. At the big intersection „Trachenberger Platz“ a tram station and the pharmacy Barbara Apotheke are located at the corner. After turning into the street the “Villa Barbara” is on the left after 30 meters.

by rail

Whether you arrive in Dresden at the central station or the Neustadt train station you can use the metro S1 or the tram line 3.

Please look for the platforms where the city trains go. Use the city train S1 in direction to „Meissen-Triebischtal“ and leave at the station Pieschen (from Central Station it is the 4th station after 15 minutes and from the Neustadt railway station it is the next station after 3 Minutes). Tickets you can buy at one of ticket machines on the way to the platform. Single tickets cost € 2.30 and are usable 1 hour in the entire public transport system in Dresden (fare zone Dresden). Maybe you should consider to buy a day ticket for € 7.00. They are valid until 4 a.m. next day. Walk 400 meters to the left in direction to the square “Trachenberger Platz” and turn left again into the street Barbara. After 30 meters you will see the Villa Barbara on the left hand side.

In front of the train station you will see the tram platforms. Ticket you also get here at the ticket machine. Use the tram line 3 towards „Wilder Mann“ and get off at square „Trachenberger Platz“ (from the main station the 13th stop after 20 minutes, from the Neustadt train station the 6th stop after 8 minutes). There cross the intersection Trachenberger Platz and walk over to the Barbara Street. After 30 meters you will see the Villa Barbara on the left hand side.

by air

At Dresden use the city train S2 and go to the Neustadt train station. The city train platforms are located directly at the terminal basement. Just follow the signs. The trains to the city center go every 30 minutes and need 12 minutes to the train station Dresden-Neustadt. Tickets you can buy at one of ticket machines on the way to the platform. Single tickets cost € 2.30 and are usable 1 hour in the entire public transport system in Dresden. Maybe you should consider to buy a day ticket for € 7.00. They are valid until 4 a.m. next day.

At train station Neustadt move to the opposite platform and change to the city train S1 in direction to „Meißen Triebischtal“ and get off at the stop Pieschen (next stop). It takes 3 minutes. Walk 400 meters to the left in direction to the square “Trachenberger Platz” and turn left again into the street Barbara. After 30 meters you will see the Villa Barbara on the left hand side.
